this blog kinda dead after we back from HK! so when are we meeting up? hmm when are your holidays? if you all are free to meet up before hols, im free on the weekend, mon, tue and fri night. we should try out the cafe that gayne recommend, some time soon. lol our usual food venture.

speaking of which, are you all still keen on travelling to malacca this year(hmm june-july before start of school or dec period ?). To put it simple like clara said, we want go there for the sun or rain? lol. anyway if we are going, we can like in mahkota hotel. It is 288++ RM($120/night) for a standard 2 bedroom apartment; pretty much $30/person. As for coach rate, its $22 for 1 trip. so if we will be going there for 3d2n, we will probably spend about $150-$200 for everything? so yea, if you all are still interested then we can confirm the details again.

hmm gab and i, are free on both days; preferably on the 5th cause gab needs to book in on the 6th. what i propose is that we meet early(8? LOL!) in the morning for some breakfast(maybe @ hougang?) then we go get the jab(polyclinic closes @ 12 on sat, not open on sun).

anyway was checking jetstar, the prices of airtickets hiked to $2525 for the twoway tickets we got earlier, we paid only $1665. hmm which means we saved $860 in total, haha which means we can eat more in hk? LOL!

Hello my loves!

Just wanted to leave a post here to thank each one of you for being part and contributing immensely in making this birthday sooo memorable for myself (:

Firstly, I'm really speechless about the present! It must have been very exhausting and troublesome to get all the 21 items. I know that it is a labour of love and that I want each and everyone of you to know how incredibly blessed I feel to have all of you (Jon, Gab, Clara and Ping) as friends whom I've grown to regard as my family.

Secondly, the video... WOW! I think it tops every single present I've ever gotten. IT'S SO HILARIOUS AND SO MEANINGFUL! Jon, thanks for sacrificing yourself for OUR entertainment. Clara, thank you for spending time to edit the video! Ping thank you for loaning your house and ending up pissing off your folks; for that I apologise! and Gab, thank you for sacrificing yourself and screaming like a girl a.k.a. trying to act like Domo :D I'm going to treasure the video forever and it'll surely be something I'll never ever forget.

So, if we walk and see something that you are looking for we can go and buy. Plus, we can limit our shopping places to go to those that we must go and only the last day den we go to those places. This will ensure that the money is well spent on things. Moreover, can go check the difference in prices if it is more worth it buying it in singapore or hongkong.

hey, just hope and pray that the H1N1 thing die down in asia. Rather at the very least, make it safe for us to travel to HK! alternatively, if you all wanna travel, we can go taiwan; but it would cost about 300 dollars more per person. so best is still pray that we can go to HK! :D.

Been reading the papers and stuff and HK seems to be pretty badly affected by the H1N1. I'm proposing we wait and see how things develop in HK because according to my mum, in the event we book the tickets despite being in full knowledge that we might expose ourselves to the virus, there's a high chance the insurance company won't compensate us in any way.

So yes, let's wait and see how things go yeah. Better to be safe than to be sorry.

LOL! most prob we would stay in B P International, cause many reviews online say it's in a very good location and price is very reasonable. tentatively, according to gab. we would be leaving on 121209(sat) morning flight and return back to singapore on 161209(weds) night flight where we will be back about 11pm+++.

hey guys, i checked out the airticket for budget and non-budget.

jetstar: S$240 (including airport tax)
cathay: estimate S$520 (including airport tax)

as for the hotels. these are some rather good recommendations online(in order of rank).

1. The Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers - 4* (THE BEST? LOL!)

personally i think this is the best. it is in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui and it's rather need kowloon and the other places we visiting(ocean park, victoria park, causewaybay, ect: other parts of hong kong beside kowloon). the only downside that it's not so near the mrt, but generally it's more convenient if we are not just going to kowloon. in addition, the hotel is quite nice and has a mall below it ;). if we are planning to go to macau, it's also nearer to macau. oh ya, did i mention it's kinda near HMV. LOL!

the guys room(2 in 1 room): S$ 652.20
the girls room(3 in 1 room): $1018.55

so it's about $34o/person.

2. B P International - 3* (MOST ACCESSIBLE & CHEAPEST)

if we want a hotel which is very accessible, i guess this is the one. it's smack in the middle of kowloon and it's very near the MRT station and shopping malls. besides the good location, the rest are just average.

the guys room(2 in 1 room): S$ 621.48
the girls room(3 in 1 room): $782.50

so it's about $280/person.

3.The Nathan Hotel - 4* (MOST EXPENSIVE!)

this is something like the first hotel, just that it's nearer to the mrt. it also have a rather nice interior. however, there are no breakfast provided. haha so yea, if we wanna stay here, probably we have to settle breakfast in the streets.

the guys room(2 in 1 room): S$ 763.84
the girls room(3 in 1 room): $1020.52

so it's about $360/person.

4. Metropark Hotel Mongkok - 3*

this is a cheaper form of the 4th hotel, relatively near to the malls and MRT

the guys room(2 in 1 room): S$ 654.12
the girls room(3 in 1 room): $893.72

so it's about $320/person.

5. Regal Oriental Hotel - 4*

this hotel is in the middle of kowloon, so shopping and travel would be easy.

the guys room(2 in 1 room): S$ 691.08
the girls room(3 in 1 room): $ 947.78

so it's about $330/person.

so if we stay the most expensive hotel $360 and air ticket for $ 240, it would be $600. after we add in those extra here and there, i guess it would not exceed S$700 :).

hmm if we take the morning flight, we would reach hk near 11am. but we can only check in at 2pm. so probably we settle breakfast in the airport and walk around then travel to the hotel and check in. after check in would be late noon, by then we can start shopping? lol! (guess what? there is free shuttle bus service to our hotels if we take Royal Pacific Hotel, B P international or Regal Hotel). alternatively, we can take 2 cabs ;).

as for the check out, we must settle it by 12pm. so i suggest, we leave our stuff at the hotel lobby or something then we go walk till near late noon. after that we can proceed to the airport and take the 2015 flight.

hey guys, anyway i checked with a random travel agency just now. he said that the difference between 5D4N, 4D3N, 3D2N, is the extra night stay in hong kong/macau. the bulk of the cost of travelling would be the airticket, which would probably be around 500+. the room stay would sum up to i think 200+++. if we really want to get the cheapest package, then i guess we need to hunt online for the budget airlines. anyway some website online can help. eg. jetstar (if wanna book, then we can start booking in may already) onlinetravelagency, asiatravel & travelguide. once we get the cheap air tickets, then we go to some agency to settle all our day tour and hotel for us. unless you guys wanna do everything online?

D5 161209 (weds - gab 3rd day of leave)
we have a day tour around macau. after lunch, we return to our hotel and repack all the stuff we bought? head to macau airport then back to singapore? probably we will be back in singapore around dinner time.

haha gab i suggest you take 2 or 1 more day of leave to rest or for buffer. so in total gab need to apply 5 days leave (how many are you left with?) for the HK/Macau trip. as for the rest of us, probably our trip would be near $1000 after all the rides, transportation and stuff. LOL the $1000 had not included the shopping money. all in all i prefer B to A, since it's not so rush for us and we can have a good night rest before flying to HK :D. what you guys think?

Hellloooo people!

I think a 5D4N plan is a good idea. According to many reliable sources, 4 days is all you need to spend in HK before you get bored. lol. I was thinking of take a boat up to Macau while in HK (can go visit the venetian and stuff) but my dad told me it'll take us a day to get there =_=".

Anyway, i was thinking since Gab's never been to HK, we can go visit the usual must-see places when in HK (this also comes highly recommended by Fides :D )

1.) we have to go to the victoria peak, preferrably in the evening. its then that you can really appreciate the hk landscape in all its glowy glory (: plus when we go, its winter, damn shiok. for all you know, i might just take off from the peak and head to northpole.

2.) Go to the harbour, i think the view is nicer from the kowloon side. we can go walk Tsim Tsa Tsui first, grab dinner. take a 10 min walk over to the harbour. enjoy the breeze there (: there's also shopping there. marco polo hotel has this chain of malls within it. but quite ex.

3.) We have to go the OCEAN PARK. its this amusement park with rollercoasters and all the thrill rides. think it'll be really fun going there to play in the day. then head back to either mainland hk or kowloon (whichever side we're staying).

4.) fides recommended going to some shopping districts. i cant remember the name, but we can work out the details later on. i checked with her, the typhoons only come in june, so in dec we're safe. the only worry we will have is... RAIN. ):

5.) H&M!!!!!!!! ping and i must go there! die die must go there.

6.) errm, fides recommended going to visit this giant buddha thing? errm okay personally not keen on it cuz i am not buddhist... but hey, if you guys wanna go... i can go amuse myself with jon's friends. HAHA.

think that covers just about most places? just wondering, does the 5D4N factor in travelling time also?

I'M EXCITED.

anyway, i've heard that airlines like SIA and stuff have special offers now cuz of the current economic crisis? i'm not sure if they will still have them in december but we can plan that later on. another thing we need to check out are the hotel rates in hk. the hotel that i stayed at when i went to hk was about S$300++/day and that's crazy expensive. according to my dad he knows of a place that charges about S$100++/ day. i'm also checking with andrew, fides and shereen about hotels to see how? perhaps we can get down to planning in may/june. wooo!

okay, i spoke to my mum about the trip to m'sia. turns out my aunt recently got robbed there while she was on holiday in KL. i'm quite scared to go there now. like holiday season + potential robbery waiting to happen = very unpleasant trip. lol.

anyway, i did check up some of the info on other places. as of now, budget airlines do go to HK, Macau, China and even some places in Japan (tokyo being one of them). i also checked with fides about the budget airline costs if we were to go to HK around december (i've also double checked on jetstar web page) the cost of the tickets to hk and back should be about... $250 ++ yeap. the ones heading towards Japan will be more ex if i'm not wrong. we can always plan again in May/June and then see how? just pray that oil prices dont escalate like they did last year and we'll be able to save LOADS of money on the plane ticket prices.

and for the girls! hk's got AWESOME SALES end of the year, usually clearing the summer collections. woohoo!

clara! don't get the iphone! i heard its giving people quite a bit of problem. plus my friend just got her phone stolen... which is not good. so i suggest getting another phone. how about the LG Cookie phone? hurhur looks nice. and clara, u can feel free to crash NUS lectures. prof doesnt care one. they dont even mark attendance, which probably explains why i'm ponning lessons. anyway, i dont mind going for the SR dinner. that being said, i have no intention of looking for potential husbands there. lol.

you co-founded the bitch army! and you are second bitchiest member after the bitch goddess himself! i loved our bitchin sessions while in srjc which kept me going whenever i wanted to just roll over and die.

remember the road race where all we did was gossip and sit around the shade? the rest of the world had to run round and round and we slacked by the road. i was glad that i had someone to talk to about ants that can draw and all that kind of silly things . bonus of the day was that bus of little primary school kids and one ofthem pointed his middle finger at us?!?! like wth so small so like that already!

you provide entertainment by suaning the two welco boys. actually mostly jon cos he is so stoned most of the time . that night at coconut groove before our invest we went a tinge crazy with jon's giggle giggle nonsense

Was kinda bored being at home this christmas while waiting to go out so decided to check out our blog... and its a bit the dead haha!

Well i suppose no one can be blamed cause we've been very busy these few weeks. So anyways back to e topic... I've been doing a lot of thinking this Christmas ( jon knows) =P and just realized that its been 1 year since we've ended sch. Though it seemed quite long now it actually seemed to pass real fast. Seems just yesterday i was taking the boat ride to Tekong and getting bald haha. It seems so long ago that we were at Coconut Grove the day b4 our council invest eating and drinking our hearts out. *giggle giggle giggle* Too bad it had to close down hur =/ Must find another place we can do that... How i miss those days haha

Ah well... I'm gonna book in in abt 15mins time. Looks like time's always rushing us to do stuff esp for us. U gals are gonna start uni soon and we guys are always busy in army doing our stuff but this christmas has taught me to sometimes just take a step back and look at the bigger picture and realize how far we've gone ( and goodness its quite far isnt it? ).
